What Do Your Dreams Mean?

?Did you know, you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping. On average, you will spend six years of it dreaming. Everyone dreams, whether you remember them or not. When you have 4-7 dreams per night don’t you want to know how to remember them and interpret them?

The world of dreams is fascinating and complex. There are many ways to intrepret what a dream means, and why you had that dream in the first place. If you have been suppressing any thoughts or feelings, it is very likely to show up in your dreams. Tramatic events are often the cause of stressful dreams.  When death occurs in your dream, it is often occurring because of a stress from a relationship, career or school issue, or the actual despair of death. Some also view death as a metaphor for new life and a time of renewal.

Some people think they only remember nightmares and can never remember the good dreams! However, the real question at hand is why are you remembering the bad dreams as opposed to the good? Bad dreams often result in a fright, jolting one awake. You are much more likely to a recall a dream when this happens, because you are awakened in your REM stage of sleep. This jolt is called a myoclonic jerk.  This jerk often results in being woken up.

There are many different types of dreams, including: daydreams, lucid dreams, prophetic dreams, nightmares, and reoccurring dreams.
